Cozy and nice atmosphere. The owners are wonderful and they know all their customers and they remember what you like. They take time to talk to their customers and makes you feel you are having a cup of coffee in your living room at home. This will be my regular coffee spot from now on.

Wonderful local coffee shop with the friendliest owners. They treated us happily early in the morning & made the most delicious butter pecan maple iced latte I’ve ever had. With a yummy taste of their homemade expresso shot, which was creamy & tasty. Grab one of their cute stickers to put on your laptop or thermos water bottle ! They told us they named their shop after their great niece, absolutely adorable :) Highly recommend coming here.

Where do I begin. I guess I'll start with a headline for those who aren't interested in my many deep, warm feelings about Kaiyden's Coffee Shop: a third place in New Haven's Wooster Square neighborhood where you will find both caffeine and community. They open on holidays so that we all have a place to go. They welcome babies and dogs. They fight crime. How can I explain this? It started off like any relationship you have with your local coffee shop; we spotted the shop under construction, and waited with enthusiasm for a place we could become regulars. Once they opened, we'd visit and get a coffee or a chai and go for a walk. Later we learned the name of one of the owners, and we'd stop and say hello. Soon, his wife started working there more often, and we got to know her as well. I became pregnant, and I'd stop in for a decaf before lumbering around the park. It was when I had my baby that Kaiyden's really became an extension of our home; with so many family members visiting from out of town, we relied heavily on Kaiyden's as a place to convene. My husband would bring the baby out in a bassinet when she was just days old, and our family would hang out at the outside tables or in the park drinking Kaiyden's coffee and eating pastries while baby gazing. Someone called Kaiyden's the neighborhood living room, and that description couldn't be more accurate. All through our parental leave, Kaiyden's was the place that we went when we needed to get out of our apartment. We became regulars, our baby included. Chidi and Shawna always made us feel so welcome and were so kind to us and to our daughter. We made friends with the baristas and other customers, some of whom came into the shop directly from their apartments elsewhere in the building, like you might come down to breakfast from your bedroom. The first time our baby crawled, it was to reach a Kaiyden's coffee cup. Her first cookie ever-- an important milestone for any child!-- was enjoyed at the Kaiyden's counter.

Had a wonderful experience at this coffee shop last week. The location is so charming, the barista was friendly and the coffee and tea was delicious! I got to meet the owners too and they were so warm and welcoming. Looking forward to another visit.

Within minutes, the barriers of "customer" and "staff" dissolve. They become your father, mother, brother, and sister—the kin you didn't know you were missing. The Heart of the Home The soul of the shop is anchored by its owners, Shawna and Chidi. Shawna is the matriarch, possessing a heart of gold that seems to expand to fit whoever walks through the door. Chidi is the captain—the steady hand on the stern who keeps the ship sailing with precision and warm, tough love. On that Christmas Day, my planned quick stop turned into a three-hour journey. The type of place where you walk in and immediately met with the nicest smile from the staff that instantly lifts your mood. You could tell the people working there genuinely enjoy working there. They had house made syrups which was so cool! You don’t ever see that anymore and the flavors? So unique! I got the saffron latte and wow, saffron is a hard taste to get right but mostly the aroma is so comforting, I was so excited to try it and wasn’t disappointed. They also gave a little sip of their Vietnamese coffee to try which was nice to offer and it tasted great! The vibe was really homey and cute, bet it would be nice to study there!

Love coming here as the vibe is always very welcoming and chill. Not as sceney as other cafe which is a nice when you want to just keep it lowkey. Good for wfh and also socializing. Music is not too loud which I appreciate! Overall great comfortable atmosphere. Drinks have always been made well, latte milk foamed to perfection 👌

Do yourself a favor and stop there if you want coffee. There will be some of the nicest people you ever meet in your life inside that coffee shop. Driven by the passion of coffee ready to give you a five star experience. Make sur you try the Vietnamese coffee

Nice coffee place. Impressive selection 😳 we had a strawberry matcha, pineapple chai & Vietnamese coffee ☕️ They have sugar free options too ✊ I saw dog biscuit 🐶 Books for kids 📕 Next to the beautiful park. We will stop by again next time we are in New Haven 🤝
